Keep the Talk Flowing~

Any marriage counsellor can tell you
the most common complaint they
hear from wives is: “He doesn’t talk
to me any more.”

When couples are dating they
spend hours on the phone, talking
and laughing together, completely
losing track of time. But too often
something happens just a couple
of years into the marriage. They
find themselves with nothing to talk
about.

Communication is crucial to the
success of a marriage, yet many
guys are wired to keep to themselves.
It’s not that they’re bored
with their spouse; they just don’t
understand the importance of sharing
their thoughts and feelings.

If this describes your marriage,
then do something about it. Guys,
make a concerted effort to talk to
your wives. Talk about nothing or
everything – it doesn’t really matter.

The key is to start communicating
again. And wives, find a way to draw
your husbands out, even if it means
talking about football or race cars.

Don’t let silence suffocate your
marriage.

Our Plans

We've been discussing on when to tie the knots. Was thinking maybe a few years time, but things happened so our plan was experdited.

We are quite a supertitious pair. Our friend/feng shui master told us it not very good for me to tie the knot this year. Given the choice, it will be better next year after Chinese New Year. Good for me!! At lest I wouldn't be too busy at the end of the year. Date of our R.O.M is not set yet. We are still looking out for a nice & good date.

Last Saturday, we went window shopping for our wedding bands. Was suppose to be looking around and doing reseach to pick the best within our budget, instead we bought it.He said that choosing a pair of wedding bands is fated. Can't be forced into buying it because of the value.

Unfortunately, we have to get it custom made. Reason. Both of finger are straight. No middle bone. So we have to get rings that are just right.

This pair was not love at first sight for me, I fell deeply in love with it when I went back to the shop to view it the 2nd time on the same day. Best of all, the range that we chose is comfort fit. Good to see, nice to wear..LOL!!
Guess What!!
I took the catalogue and showed it to my parents, they choose the same pair as well.. I was over the moon when both of the pointed to the same pair.

Secrets to staying married

There’s no such thing as a perfect
marriage,
but that doesn’t mean
your marriage can’t be fulfilling
and happy.

Building a strong marriage takes
hard work and commitment. It takes
two people who are willing to say to
each other: “I know that tough times
will come, but I promise to stay with
you, no matter what.”

When life gets hard, even the best
marriages are tested. And the ones
that survive are those where each
party made a conscious decision to
stay the course.

In fact, couples who persevere
through trials almost always come
out stronger than ever.

Take time to remind your spouse
how committed you are to your marriage.
Use special occasions, like anniversaries,
holidays, or other family
events to focus on what’s important,
and renew your love and devotion –
both to your mate and your children.

Remind your spouse often, and
see if it doesn’t strengthen your relationship.
And remember, strong marriages
are built on loyalty, and loyalty is a
decision, not a personality trait
